What I don’t like about Wii
The Nintendo Wii’s internal storage space is bleak at best and it only has a five hundred and twelve internal flash memory, which is definitely not the large storage capacity that its competitors, the Xbox 360 and the PS3 have. The Nintendo Wii’s graphics aren’t at the same level of the Xbox 360 and the PS3. The Wii only pushes a video processor that is moderately better and made by ATI that its predecessor, the GameCube has. So there is no need to expect graphics that are jaw-dropping, bump mapping, incredible cell shading or any type of graphic terminologies which give some credibility to the performance capabilities of the Wii.
Repeatedly, Nintendo has expressed that its unit’s primary purpose is to bring gaming back by the masses. Photo realistic environments, the ability play games within high definition at one thousand and eight p, isn’t just something that you are going to get out of the Wii gaming console. The games themselves are going to certainly not have any type of visuals that are graphically stunning that you would expect from the next generation platform. The games for the Wii are being created on twelve centimeter, double layered, optical discs that don’t really have the storage capacity that the blue-ray disc has or high definition for that matter.
The controllers also eat batteries and it takes them quiet a while for you to get used to the control. The Wii’s online community features and online gaming features are hobbled by the terrible friend’s code system and the nunchuk controller is sold completely separately, it also lacks the advanced high definition graphics and the surround sound that is found on the PS3 and the Xbox 360. The Wii also requires that there is a wired receiver unit placed somewhere near the television to interface with the wireless controllers and with the Wii, you aren’t able to play DVD’s or CD’s.
In relationship to purchasing the Wii gaming console, you need to remember that the Wii lacks the rich media and graphical prowess media features of the PS3 and the Xbox 360, however the Nintendo Wii’s combination of unique controllers that are motion-sensitive and an emphasis on fun gameplay which makes it an ultra-affordable console that is very hard to resist. One thing you must remember when you are considering purchasing the Wii is that Nintendo’s main objectives for the Wii were a little different than the objectives that were set for the Xbox 360 and the PS3.
Nintendo intended for the Wii to bring in new players to the field to play ball, people that are new to the whole gaming world. The Wii was a way for them to get everyone involved, regardless of their age or where they come from. People from all walks of life can play the Wii without one single problem and the best part about playing the Wii is that they are going to enjoy it. All-in-all, one must say that the pros of the Wii outweigh the cons.
